I’ve stopped losing weight; I haven’t significantly lost weight in maybe 3 months, but my waistline’s a bit smaller. Small enough that I needed to buy new pants 🙂 Maybe now I’m having more of a fat->muscle transition? I don’t trust my scale’s fat % calculations. I might try to get a real one where they do the whole “submerged in water” body composition measure which sounds fun. The major reason is because if I still want to lose weight, everything I’ve seen says you have to base it around your lean body mass which is your weight minus the fat%… but since I don’t trust my fat % I don’t know what to do with it.
I may, though, just give up on losing weight for a couple months. I’m still 10-15 pounds away from the so-called normal, and I think restricting my calories is the only way I’ll lose weight at this point, but I really don’t want to lose muscle for the sake of losing weight. I know I’m kind of OCD about my weight and eating right, so I should maybe not weigh myself for a little while but eat correctly and see if that appreciably changes my weight.
Hey A, Not sure if you are still trying to get down 10 lbs, but I sure am and I’ve been doing the juice diet. It is actually lovely. Drinking fresh veggie juice that you make in a juice (I have the phillips) the recipe I use is 1 whole bunch celery, 2 red bell peppers, 1 carrot, 1 green apple, 2 cucumbers, handful of kale/ spinach and 1 beet. I’m not hungry and I drink juice instead of break and a little salad for lunch, then a small lite dinner of chicken, beef or fish. Thats it. No alcohol though. Its going well. Trying to get into hawaii shape 🙂
